OnCue Express to Dedicate CNG Filling Station Today
Natural Gas Station Open to Public

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA, SEPTEMBER 8, 2009 – Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK) and OnCue Express will officially dedicate a new state-of-the-art public access compressed natural gas (CNG) filling station in Oklahoma City today.  The station, located at 4920 North Western Avenue, was developed by Chesapeake and is operated and managed by Oklahoma fuel service retailer OnCue Express. Chesapeake CEO Aubrey McClendon will be in attendance along with Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, Oklahoma Speaker of the House Chris Benge and OnCue Marketing President and CEO Jim Griffith.  Others in attendance include Sara Dreiling, CEO of the American Lung Association of the Central States, and Bryan Gonterman, President of AT&T Oklahoma.

“This is a great day for Oklahoma as we take another important step in realizing the advantages of compressed natural gas as a transportation fuel.  I’m excited about our partnership with OnCue Express, an Oklahoma company and high-quality fuel retailer,” McClendon said.

“CNG is clean, abundant, affordable and American - we hope this station is just the first of many CNG stations in our city and state made possible in part because of landmark legislation championed by Speaker Benge last spring.  This is a great example of using Oklahoma’s most valuable natural resource to provide revenues to the state and to provide more green jobs and affordable, clean fuel for Oklahoma families.  This is our answer to finally begin breaking free from the stranglehold of foreign oil.”

“We realize the market for compressed natural gas is only going to grow in the coming years because of its inherent economic and environmental benefits,” commented Jim Griffith, President and CEO of OnCue Marketing.

“We are thrilled to partner with Chesapeake Energy to operate this new CNG station which represents OnCue’s re-entry into this market.  Like Chesapeake, our company was founded and built in Oklahoma and we care deeply about the future of this state.  Natural gas is our state’s top resource and we need to seek ways to increase demand for this clean energy source.  This station is one way our company can help promote greater use of clean, Oklahoma natural gas.”

Speaker Benge (R-Tulsa) authored legislation, signed by Governor Brad Henry, establishing incentives to increase the number of CNG vehicles and public access filling stations in Oklahoma. The OnCue Express station adds to Benge’s effort to double the number of publicly available CNG filling stations across the state in the next five years.  “It is imperative that our country reduce its dependence on unstable foreign oil, and Oklahoma is poised to play a vital role in the national alternative energy market.  Natural gas is a domestic fuel that is plentiful in Oklahoma.  Its use as a transportation fuel will benefit our state’s economy and also help ensure our national security as we transition to secure local fuel sources,” said Speaker Benge.

"I appreciate Chesapeake and OnCue's leadership in this area," said Mayor Cornett. "Oklahoma City is a pioneer in alternative energies, and with efforts like this, I expect us to continue that ingenuity.  Natural gas dramatically reduces emissions and this is another step to making Oklahoma City not only a better place to live but a healthier one as well.”
